On Sunday afternoon after the conference finishes, participants have the possibility to experience Barcelona and the Spanish culture from a different angle.
While participants are kindly asked to pay for these social activities individually, EHDN provides a list of possible options for guided cultural tours.

Please note, EHDN will not reimburse the cost for these activities. 1. Artistic Barcelona - Antoní Gaudí On this tour, participants have the opportunity to see Barcelona through the eyes of the
famous architect Antoní Gaudí.
Once said
to be crazy, he is nowadays celebrated as a great artist. His work significantly
contributed to the urban image of Barcelona. On this cultural journey participants will see
his most popular buildings in more detail. 2. Discover The Secrets of Barcelona This tour
gives participants the chance to fully experience the Catalan culture. Starting
in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, people will be guided through historical
streets discovering hidden treasures, stories and anecdotes of the city. Participants will be introduced to drinking
wine from the “Porrón”, one of the most
famous Catalan traditions. A Porrón is a traditional glass pitcher, typical for
Catalonia. Diving into the bustling everyday life of Barcelona, the tour also visits
La Boquería – one of the most spectacular food markets in Europe. Here,
participants can enjoy the rich colouring of the market stands and feel the
lively atmosphere. 3. Camp Nou Football Stadium For those
interested in football, a visit to the Camp Nou is an absolute must. The FC
Barcelona, winner of the Champions League 2009 and 2011, is currently not only
one of Europe’s best football teams but also plays in the biggest football
stadium in Europe. With a total capacity of 98.918 people, the Camp Nou is a
stadium well worth the visit.
During this
tour participants will see the impressive football field as well as hidden corners of the stadium, such as the changing facilities, the press
room and the VIP lounge.
