LANCO Meeting, Amsterdam, The Netherlands


Regarding the EHDN LAC Meeting in Amsterdam on March 4 and 5, I would like to provide all of you again with some information about the hotel, the meeting rooms and the dinner.

First of all, we booked the hotel Best Western Blue Tower which is located at Bos en Lommerplein 154, 1055 EK Amsterdam (http://www.hotelbluetower.com/bluetower/index_bluetower.asp?taal=en). The distance from Shiphol Airport to the Hotel at Bos en Lommerplein is approx. 13 km.

From the airport you can take a hotel shuttle bus directly to the hotel. If you arrive at the airport it is the stop opposite the taxi area and at the arrival hall 4 you can buy a ticket. The hotel is about 3 km from the Amsterdam City Centre. There is a tram stop opposite the hotel, besides that you'll find the train station Sloterdijk in 10 minutes walking distance of the hotel.

The conference rooms are located in the building behind the Best Western Blue Tower Hotel (1 minute walking distance), at the second floor, reachable by elevator or stairs. The meeting rooms have daylight and free WIFI, projector, screen and flipover.

Due to the fact that the LAC meeting on Monday will start at 12:30, we informed the hotel that we would like to have lunch starting at 11:45. So we can have lunch first and start than with the meeting.

Between 14:00 and 14:30 the group will be divided into two groups for the PBA training. Therefore we have booked one more conference room in the afternoon for approx. 16 pax.

The dinner is planned at the restaurant D.R.E.A.M at the Golden Tulip Hotel. Golden Tulip Amsterdam West, Molenwerf 1, 1014 AG, Amsterdam (http://www.goldentulipamsterdamwest.com/restaurant-d-r-e-a-m.151696.aspx). This is a new restaurant and it will be a buffet dinner. We will meet at the lobby at 19:15 and walk together to the restaurant. Please feel free to go there on your own, if you prefer so. Attached please find a google map screen shot how to get there from the hotel. The restaurant is booked for 19:30 and the name of the group is EHDN.

For Tuesday we organized one conference room. The meeting will start at 8:30 and lunch is planned for 12:15.
