Motor Workgroup Face-to-Face Meeting in Münster, Germany

Main topic: Rating video for UHDRS - viewing submitted videos, develop plan for future video recordings, discuss proposal for Juvenile-UHDRS score (detailed programm to follow).

Call for videos:
We kindly ask all clinicians involved in the care of HD patients to submit videos of UHDRS evaluations of their patients to our workgroup. Digital format on DVD or CD is preferred, however, VHS format is also accepted. The Motor Workgroup will evaluate different videos and compile a teaching video illustrating the clinical severity of motor symptoms with respect to their rating in the UHDRS motor score. Please indicate your name, address and email on the material submitted. If available, please provide a signed copy of a patient video release form. Please submit the video to the following address no later than December 15, 2005:

Transportation:
Airport:
The local Airport Münster-Osnabrück (code: FMO) is serviced by several airlines, e.g. Air Berlin, Deutsche British Airways, European Air Express, Eurowings/Lufthansa. It can be reached by bus or taxi and is located about 40 km north of Münster (http://www.flughafen-fmo.de/). Depending on the schedule of arrivals we may be able to arrange pick up of some participants.
Railways/Train: 
Münster downtown can be easily reached by train (schedule @ http://www.bahn.de/). The Main Station is centrally located and the conference venue/hotel is within walking distance, about 10 minutes. Directions: From the main exit of the main railway station go straight ahead along the ”Windhorststraße”. Cross the ”von-Vincke-Straße” and, after about 20 meters, turn left on the "Promenade", an alley reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. Walk along the promenade for about 5 minutes and turn right into a narrow street, ”Hals”. This gets you strait into the ”Krumme Gasse”. Make a left turn into the ”Grüne Gasse”. At the end of this street the Kolping Conference Hotel is located on the right side (a map is provided on the hotel webpage).
Car:
Münster can be reached by Highyway #1 from northern and southern parts of Germany. Highway #1 connects to Highway #30 about 50 km north of Münster, which connects to the Netherlands in the West and to Hannover, Berlin in the East. Highway #43 ends in Münster and connects to the Ruhr Area, southern parts of the Netherlands, Belgium and France (a map is provided on the hotel webpage).    

Münster:
Münster is an old traditional German university city with about 280.000 inhabitants and 45.000 students - for a virtual tour click here. Those of you interested may use the visit to Münster to have a look at the scenes where peace was negotiated after the 30-years-war in middle ages. Also Münster has an active art scence with galleries and museums such as the Picasso Museum for Graphics, just around the corner from the hotel. We will offer a city tour for those of you staying a little longer on Saturday afternoon.
