The best way to reach Leiden from Schiphol Airport is by train (takes about 20 minutes). Tickets can be bought from yellow ticket machines, or from ticket offices (both situated at ‘Schiphol Plaza’ (the main hall of the airport, near the entrance to the railway). Generally, a ticket machine is also placed near the exit of the hall where you have to collect your luggage. You should buy a ticket to ‘Leiden Central Station’(‘Leiden Centraal’ or ‘Leiden CS’ in Dutch). Trains leave every 15 minutes (normally from docks 5-6). Please note: train tickets can NOT be bought on the train.

Exit the station (exit facing city centre); when you look to the left, you will see a large building, the Golden Tulip Hotel. The Tulip Inn is next to this hotel.
