The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability provides assessment, rehabilitation, treatment, long-term and respite placements for people with Huntington’s disease. The service is provided on three wards, which aim to meet the needs of patients in different stages of the disease.
Each patient has their own room set within a specialist Huntington's disease ward in the RHN's picturesque award-winning gardens.
What makes the RHN unique is that all of our specialist team are under the same roof. This allows the regular and uninterrupted care to continue with immediate access.
As well as the multi-disciplinary team, our HD patients also have access to the wide range of additional services that are provided in-house. These include GP, pharmacy, assistive technology, computer room, art room, biomedical engineering (specially adapted wheelchairs), recreation & leisure programmes, hydrotherapy pool, dentist, bank, podiatrist and hairdresser.
